Fuse tap question
I am planning to do a half install on my wideband until tomorrow when I get tuned. If I tap the fuse but leave the sensor part off will that be ok(no blown fuse or anything)? Only reason why I am doing this is to save $$ so all the tuner has to do is clip the sensor to the harness then screw it in to the downpipe after the install.
I apologize for the dumb question but when it comes to electrical work I am completely lost.

It will be fine as long as the other end of the wire that is tapped into the fuse does not touch anything. Also, it literally takeS 5 minutes or less to tap a fuse for power... If you are uncomfortable doing wiring, why not just let the installer do it?

It wasn't the fact I was uncomfortable. The reason why I didn't want the shop to install it because I rather have the $150 probably they would of charged to spend else where. I literally only wanted to know if I had everything wired and ran to the bottom of the car without actually having the o2 plugged into the sensor will it cause any problems until my downpipe was installed to screw in the o2. I wanted to minimize the amount of work the shop had to do so I wouldn't be charged a stupid price for something that is easy.
Everything worked out fine. Someone else said on the other forum that the gauge would just read 14.7 and not change and that's actually what it did for the 1hr trip to the shop.
