help with stock rockford sub installation

I recently bought a used stock trunk rockford subwoofer. It comes with four speaker wires and each pair plays the sub. Do all four wires have to be hooked up to my amp or can i just use two, will it make a difference?

Im doing the same thing with my system. If i read everything correctly since it is a dual coil sub you can connect your sub in series or parallel, depending on the sound you are looking for, and i also believe the sub is 75 watts rms.

each pair is one voice coil. each coil is 2ohms. The easiest install is to get a stereo ampllifier and run ones set of wires to L and one to R

Each coil is ONE ohm !

Plugging them in parallel will result in a half ohm load. In series will result in 2ohms. Most likely, your best bet will be to use a small Class D amplifier that is 2ohms stable. (something around 300W will be plenty).
