AUX Setup EVO MR Question..

Just picked up an 08 MR.

I am not sure what all was a factory option with this car but I may call a dealership and give them my vin and ask.

What I have.(things that may help you tell me what package I have)
Tall rear wing.
Navigation.
Non RF.
No Sunroof.
Car had a backup camera but its been taken out. Where the aux jack should be there is just a plastic cover. When I remove the plastic cover I find a yellow rca cable, red rca cable and just a white wire with no connection on it.(Looks like some type of remote wire)

I could really careless about the backup cam I just need to know how to hook up the aux cable jack. Is the backup cam stuff going to need uninstalled?

I was planning on just making a homemade aux cable, how should I go about doing this and is it possible? Can I just buy an rca audio to headphone jack cable and cut off the two rca connections and tap it in? If so how the hell do I ground it, I am not familiar with these cables, is there so common way to ground this. I know the kit has a red wire, white wire and black wire...

If I just buy the aux jack from mitsu is it just plug and play?

This **** is like so easy yet so confusing and my guess is I wont get a response lol!

If I do, thanks!

you can just get a RCA to 3.5 jack and you're good to go. just select AUX on the navi to play and pick Navi or SET -> Screen Off if you don't want to stare at the message on the screen

ya that sounds good but I dont have the audio jack in the center console... I dont feel like spending 50 on one. was wonder if I could wire an rca to 3.5 cable into the wiring harness and if so what do I do for a ground. the clip i would have to tap into has a red wire, white wire and black. (red/white may be other colors) but ya wtf do I do with the ground...

so there's no RED, WHITE, YELLOW input behind the cig lighter and coin change area? if not i think your best bet is the $50 OEM AUX kit since it's made for the OEM head unit and it'll be plug-n-play. just my 2 cents

Anyone know if the Nav head unit will recognize a USB card? There are rca-->usb conversion cables available. Has anyone tried this?
