Steering wheel audio controls

Has anyone else experienced their audio controls acting up from time to time? For example, once in awhile, my volume up/down will call up the voice command part of the MMCS.

I notice after I shut the car off, and come back, all is good again.

Odd.

Haven't had that issue. I had my 2012 for about 14 months and never had an issue. I have had my 2013 now for about 7 months and haven't had the issue.

Maybe someone who has had an Evo for a number of years could chime in.

Also I use the volume control on my steering wheel all the time.

I know this is an old thread but mine does this when the steering is at a certain angle.

which adapter do you need to make it work with a aftermarket unit?

I haven't had any issues with this previously. Seems rather odd.

sounds that is either a processor or wire harness issue. unplug all the connections to the radio side and the button side and inspect for burns. this will show black or gray on a light colored harness and white or gray on a black harness.

if it continues then reflash/program the mmcs. Im new to Evo's so i can't walk you through it but this a what i would do if i were troubleshooting.
