2014 Evo 10 GSR European stereo

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.

I've recently bought a brand new Evo X GSR. I live in Switzerland in Europe and this is the stock stereo that comes with the 2014 GSR model.

I'm looking to put an aftermarket Pioneer navi but the problem is I cant find any wiring diagrams for the 2014 model... I've found diagrams for the 2008 and 2010 models on this forum but they aren't the same as in my car...

Can anyone help ??

For info, I have a standard 6 speaker system (not the Rockford Fosgate) and I have bluetooth buttons on the wheel.

Wiring didn't change

Consider a PAC-SWI to keep steering wheel functionality with aftermarket radio.

I do know that my new Pioneer installed with Metra wire adapter kit did not require all the wires into the OEM radio (some are Bluetooth or other functionality).

Just use the wires the install kit calls for. Add a PAC-SWI to retain the steering wheel controls.

Now I am not sure that the wiring didn't change... 2008-2013 seem to all have the same wiring but the 2014 seems to have changed a bit...

The wiring did change, at least for the EU spec evo's.
I have a brand new evo 2014 EU spec and I have the same wiring as you GregEvoX.

When I ordered my car it was not possible to get MMCS installed at the factory because this was a limited offer that Mitsubishi Norway had got from Mitsubishi Japan. (Mitsubishi Norway did not offer the evo in their line of cars i Norway because there is no marked, to expensive. But they made an exception for 4 weeks so that is was possible to order)

So I asked the dealer if it was possible to just order the MMCS and install kit and get them to install it for me. They said this was no problem.
This is now a BIG problem. Mitsubishi is not able to install the MMCS because i'm missing the "navigation" cabel.

The MMCS I got is the E-06 model the connections are the same as the 2008-2013 US MMCS model.

I have attached a picture of the cables in my dash.
- hazard light connector.
- two oem stereo connector.
- Camera connector
- gps antenna connector (The dealer installed this during install)

But where is the navigation connector that was supposed to be taped up with blue tape?

There is also a unknown connector. I'm not sure if this has to do with the navigation because the cables are very short. This was taped up underneath the steering wheel to the right.

Also found some german guys that have encountered this problem, but seems like they never found out.

So does anybody know of a fix for this?

Hey BlizzWave,

The unknown connector (grey one) is you car information connector it's pretty much the same as the white connector on the pre-2014 models. I think one of the problems you may have is that you've got the wrong wiring harness. Try and find info on this part number MZ360181EX or try and look at the mitsubishi outlander car that as the same navi configuration.

Thanks for the tip!
My Mitsubishi dealer has no clue on whats going on. Will tell them to look at the Outlander.
