USB Problem/Won't connect.

USB Problem/Won't connect.
I have a 2014 Evo X GSR non SSS w/ Navi and my usb flashdrive doesn't connect anymore/recognized by my car.
It used to work fine until one day I had to take my car in to get the motor warrantied at the dealer cuz' blown engine at 3k miles lol.
Got it back and tried to plug that same flashdrive I've always been using and now the option to select USB on the screen isn't lit up anymore and when I try to select it all it says is "iPod/USB not connected".
I know the flashdrive works cuz I tried it in another car and also my computers. I've also tried re-formatting it but still no luck.
Anyone have this issue before?
I don't like bluetooth or connecting my iphone.. Rather just use a flashdrive I can play all my music with. Thanks.

fwiw, my iphone does connect to the car via usb cable so i know the usb port is functional at least... but i just don't understand why the flashdrive won't get recognized anymore when it gets recognized everywhere else.
