Static while on phone

Ok, a weird one for me. Never had one issue with my stock RF system. Recently during phone calls while in Bluetooth, all calls have severe static to the point of where I can barely understand the person. Has anyone ever had this issue? It's been like this for a month now, hoping it would fix itself. While listening to music, I can turn the volume up pretty loud and everything sounds great with no static whatsoever. I deleted my phone, re-added it hoping it would catch but no luck. Any direction to what to check out is appreciated.

Does it matter if the phone is plugged into the power outlet or not? If so - check your grounds on the outlet.

If not - take a portable radio to the car with you. Find a radio station that just barely comes in. Start the car. Did the you suddenly lose the station in static? If not - then turn on the headlights/load the alternator (turn on everything)

If so - you may have something not grounded anymore (the hood, the HID ballast, something...) that is leaking EMF. Move the radio around to find the source of the greatest static to help further troubleshoot.

I hope this helps.... Let us know what you find

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them to see what I find.
