Any word on Cobb's Accessport and its availability?
By the End of the Year
I just got an email from Cobb. They acted like best case senario would be 6 months. They said sometime before the end of the year. I want this also, but we will have to wait.
ive never owned an accessport, but I have had devices like it for other cars and they are awsome. It allows you to get mulitple tunes for different things (track, drag, daily driving). Right now mail in flash is all we got, but to have a tuner store 3 different flashes on a device and allow you to choose which one at any given time is awsome.

Well I'm not sure how much you'd want an AP if they can't custom tune it at a shop, as the PROtune software isn't out yet I believe and a lot of guys with MazdaSpeed3's are reporting problems with the AP tunes, worse than stock. I use to have a Speed3 so I know the guys on the boards and some studdering and boost cut issues are happening with the AP. I think I'm gonna go with Works.
I can barely wait for Vishnu to release their's. They have one heck of a track record with Evo's and the write up on Edmunds about the Vishnu Evo was very promising. Where other companies are talking about 20awhp gains, Vishnu promises gains of atleast 75awhp peak, and even more than that at points in the power band. That's hot.
Ohh the long dreaded wait for the access port.. Wish you guys the best of luck with a timely release.. Waited forever for it to be released for my mazdaspeed 3. Delay after delay it finally came last week.. Too bad I used the money I had saved back for it as a downpayment on an Evo X lol...
I am sure there will be lots of tuning options in the next 6 months or so since the evo is such a great tuning platform. My speed 3 has been out for over a year and we are still waiting for the aftermarket to send us some love. Ohh well while I wait on those parts I will just mod the evo lol

No I don't think they have a hand held. But the thing is that they are located 20 minutes away from me. And they are located on the track, so it's easy for me to see them.
By the looks of COBB's website they have alot of different projects out right now, so I can't see the AP being released any time soon. But it will probably be well worth the wait. I have heard alot about there products. They seem to be working alot on the GTR right now and it would seem that vishnu is focusing alot on the 335i
I have never seen a Cobb shelf map on a Subaru that was worth a hill of beans. Luckily, the guys had street tuner, and we were able to manipulate the maps together on the dyno.
You need a tuner with Protune access, as ST access is basic at best.
I have a lot higher opinion of EcuTeK. They don't emulate in the industry, they pioneer.
