Evo X - Testing Performance

I was about to buy a G-Tech meter to test the performance of my new Evo X and then I read about Dynolicious for the iPhone. I downloaded a copy from the App Store and was amazed to find it works very accurately indeed.

I just found an article comparing the Apple iPhone and Dynolicious with the G-Tech Meter and the iPhone wins at a fraction of the cost - a great find:

It's only a fraction of the cost of the G-Tech if you already own an iPhone or iPod Touch. Otherwise, it is over double the cost of the G-Tech.

I've been playing with it, but haven't had a chance to do a full run.

Skidpad is fun though!

I dropped the iPod at the same time as I did a little pull, and I trapped at 177 MPH. w00. (I think I'll mount it a little better next time)

Since I already have half a dozen digital music players in my house there is no need for another. For ME, the G-Tech meter would be a much better financial decision.

As for the accuracy claims in the video, I am always leery when you hear things like "We did a number of runs," but then they only show the results from one. Since my job involves the practical application of statistics, I would be interested in knowing the AVERAGE values both gave across multiple runs, as well as the variance for each tool.

It's pretty damn close for 13bucks. Also my friend and I played around with it in his G35 and the 0-60 times was close enough. It's a fun tool for what it is. Please don't compare it to something that costs 20times it. That was made for ONE reason. The iphone is...a phone/media player.
