My friend wants to sell his cobb accesss port to me for cheap? but i was wondering if it is worth it, or is a regular reflash better?

The Cobb Access port has not been released for the X. I assume you are referring to a different vehicle? VIII or IX?

^^^ Where did you hear that? Everytime I ask Cobb they will not say a date - just that they are "working on it".

I'd imagine with all the other flashing products available now, they would make this a priority.

Or they WONT make this a priority.

Why would you buy an AP for 600 bucks when you can do exactly what it does for free with ecuflash once its out?

Why does everyone keep buying an AccessPort?
Sorry-I had too.
AP isnt avail yet-it is on their list-as a "priority"-well...its being worked on.
The nice thing about the AP-is that it is a safe DIY to tuning-they offer a couple diff maps, and it works best with their products-for $600-its a great option for those that do not have a local tuner avail to them.

So ..... why buy an accessport then...

YOu do realize ecuflash can upload and switch maps just like the AP can right?

Download an already produced map to a laptop, write into the ECU in about 30 seconds and you're done.

...once ecuflash is out is the key, just the like the AP, I keep hearing it will be released soon. But it is still being beta tested.
