No immobilizer code

I just confirmed that there is no immobilizer code within the EvoX ROM. I took my friend's ROM image and flashed it to mine, the car started up with no problems. I can only think that the EvoX may have a secondary ROM within the ECU that stores the immobilizer code

My friend also did a hex compare between 2 stock roms and the hexes showed to be exactly the same so I'm sure I wasn't just being "lucky".

So, how exactly does the immobilizer code work then, because I remember someone having an issue where they tried to reflash their ecu with a very early version of open ecu and it wouldn't work because there was an immobilizer code issue. If I wanted to buy a second ecu to have as a backup (assuming that mitsu can in fact see flash counts on an ecu to determine if the ecu has been tuned or not) for warranty purposes, I know that the immobilizer code for the ignition system would have to be transfered over somehow. Any info on how to do this? Can you locate where this secondary rom within the ecu is and how to flash that image onto another ecu? Thanks.

Lancer 09 is same.
My car was flash other Rom without reading stock Rom.

I think Immo code is in another ECU , will be ETECH that control all eclectic in car.

Thank for info.

For those curious, I replaced my ETACS-ECU and didn't need to reprogram the immobilizer. So its either in a separate portion of the ECU or another module somewhere.
