AP, Evo X MR, stage 1 CA map, HKS drop in

I have now driven this setup for a week. I am very pleased!
Before this, the MR was quick once off its first second slump in first gear up to the higher RPMs when the motor started to whine, but with not much power any more: pretty disappointing.
Now it is a bit quicker and stronger from the very beginning, but keeps making power all the way up. Much more pleasent to drive now. No cells, no issues.
My gas milage is worse, but I believe that is because I am driving it hard!
I have to drive it less aggressively one tank to see what I can get from it. Before the tune my best was 19 mpg city/highway. Now I am about 16 mpg.
The AP works without any issues. I had one for my previous STI and really liked it.

I spoke to a guy at cobb and he said that the AP comes with a modified boost assembly hose, kinda like what razorlab and GST have been working on. Does it in fact come with this, or was it just the AP unit itself?

Currently it's just the AP unit. We are working on what is needed for a strong Stg II tune. Once that is ready we will make it available to all AP users. Lots of cool stuff in the pipe!

I have a HKS drop in too, but i pull it out, i want to put it back in. But i talked to cobb and was told that most drop ins will lean out the car by like half a point, and since i dont know what im doing, so i am not risking it.

Nope nothing like that.

Rob, once the upgraded boost assembly/pill is available, will there be a stage 1 tune for it, for those of us who want the better quality tune/boost curve that it will offer, but want to stick with the stock exhaust? Now I know that it is asking a lot for you guys to make numerous specialty maps, but I have one more request that I think will be a popular tune among the community and was wondering if you could pass the word along to chrisitian (or whoever does the tuning): stage 1 with the upgraded boost assembly and respective WGDC mapping, UICP, drop in filter or intake, and stock exhaust BUT... with a test pipe.

Razor lab and GST motorsports have been testing a similar setup out and the difference that the boost pill in conjunction with a test pipe makes is incredible. For those of us who want to stick with a relatively stock exhaust for noise/stealth reasons, this seems to be the best setup and I think that this would be a really popular OTS map since the listed mods are very common setups for many X owners. You could call it a stage 1.5 or something. What do you think? If you feel it's more appropriate, you can post the reply in the regular "AP" thread in the engine management section. Thanks man.

I have tuned a few X's with HKS filters and they were quite a bit leaner than stock.
I wouldn't run it untill i can send cobb the mapping for it

Please send them the map as soon as you have the chance. It will be nice to know for sure as I expect a lot of this configuration out there.
Thanks
