What is the maximum level of EGT for Evo X when it becomes dangerous for the motor? If you drive at max speed at WOT (I guess that's as hot as it can get) what shout the EGT be then?

 

Perrin did a test a while back and they said that the EGTs in the X get pretty hot, as high as like 1650 I think. Look back in the turbo/drivetrain section for the ic temp test thread by perrin and the info is in there.

 

1550 is the most you'd like to see safely for a piston engine. 1650 for a rotary. They can go higher, of course, but you need to be careful above that.
