I have not see any indication of any dynamic learned timing tables in the Evo 10.

what is "Learned Knock Retard"? Would that not be a " dynamic" timing adjustment? ( this question is not rhetorical, i am just asking) ?

wonder if perrin would help work it out.

try a 4th wide open pull. i was fine until then. i wasn't logging but it was like a pressure cooker under a rapid boil. don't know if i want to reproduce that for a log. i am running shell 93 octane and totally stock including paper stock air filter.

Once you have done the log using the AP you hook it back up to the computer and use the AP Manager software to pull the map off of the AP. Once the AP manager software is up click the advance button to view the saved logs.

what don't you understand? do you have any strange sounds under full throttle in 4th gear with this tune or did you just come across this when you looked at the log?

the car was running smoothly and pulled nicely until i pulled through 4th gear. it was like i described a rapid boil in a pressure cooker. that is how it sounded. my passenger was also like WTF?

i am not running crappy gas. well crappier than what comes out of the pump labeled premium and i don't have any mods.

does this help clarify?

I never felt or heard anything and my car still pulls very smooth and strong till redline. Can you feel the car pulling timing? I dont know what a rapid boil in a pressure cooker sounds like, but I can imagine there is lots of popping.

that is what it would sound like. it kept pulling just you heard that. never heard it before. i drove easy after that so no noticeable difference in whether i felt timing being pulled. but if it were knock i am sure the timing was pulled. maybe i will take logs of it. i think for DD i will run the cobb stage 1 though.

ok first off, logging takes some experience to be good at. i was having trouble making sure it was logging and negotiating around potential obstacles. i didn't get to capture any really hard pulls but i was in 4th and gave it a good stab and logged .35 in knock retard and the AP said 0/1 after that. so is this knock? and should i be concerned? other people's posts don't seem to give me that feeling. i am enjoying learning more and more about this stuff but not at the expensive of my engine.

sorry total noob to posting pics. enlarge it and you can view it.

Ok that is a horrible log....lol Not only can I barly see it but you did not log the car under acceleration. When you recorded the .35 knock you were only at 3500 rpm and not under hard acceleration, in fact in look like you were slowing down. If you can start the log when you are at a dead stop and then run through the gears at WOT 1-5. Then go back to fourth and do a low rpm load pull to wot and log it.
