Someone Please Help me With my AP
Someone Please Help me With my AP
I just got the AP this Morning and followed the instuctions and started to install the Stage 1 93 onto my car. It was at about 25% and then the AP shut off, I tried it again and now the AP says it can't identify the car. I tried to reset the ECU but it still does the same thing. What should I do to get the AP to work so I can install my stock map on the AP and gettting the Stage 1 93 on my car.

I think the battery is your issue man, even if you don't. It doesn't have to die for the AP to not work. If the battery gets even a little low, it can cause the AP to not be able to connect to the ecu. When you try to reconnect, make sure your battery is charged up, and then disconnect the radiator fan plugs or they will run intermittently while the AP is installing (because the car is in test mode) and it will drain your battery which again, is what I think happened here. If this isn't the issue, go to cobb's website, get the AP updater program if it is not already installed on your computer, and then update the firmware on your AP to make sure that that's not the issue. If that doesn't work, then your stuck until monday when you can call cobb for support. Good luck, and let us know what happens.
Yea I tried but it said it was already up to date. I hope I don't have to send it back to Cobb to get a new one For I wanted to take it to the track and see how well it would do and a Dyno as well to get true numbers for the AP
who knows, maybe its defective. talk to Cobb if you dont get this figured out this weekend. i think STi2EvoX said it best, make sure you're charged up. i dont know what would happen if you lose power while saving the stock map, but maybe throwing the "stock map" from Cobb on there might be a starting point, if you can get there. good luck.

Mine when i first got it, would no reconise the car at all. After i did the update it worked right away. COBB should be able to get you going. Good luck.
Yeah at least something did go right, it didn't leave you without a ride or with a burn ECU. I hear they run close to 1k.
