Will loading JDM SST Rom onto EDM ECU work?
Hi all,
I am a Newbie to EcuFlash and all assistance is appreciated.
I have an Australian Evo X SST (same as EDM) with Rom ID:53050006. As far as i know (which is not much
), no-one has an EcuFlash XML definition for EDM SST Evo X.
Are there any plans for EcuFlash to support EDM (AU) SST Evo X models?
Will writing a JDM or US Evo x SST version of the Rom to my ECU work? Will the car run normally allowing me to start tuning with EcuFlash and my cable?

no you cant.
becaus you cant open your rom, you cant copy the imobilizer code.
if you load a different rom into your ECU, it will have a different imobilizer so your car wont start.
not sure how the dealer can do that in case your ecu died?

I guess i'm stuck with a openport cable i can't use until EcuFlash supports (AU) EDM SST Evo X.
