ECUFLASH for X: Glossary for Dummies !
RED ITEMS NEED COLLABORATION, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PM ME OR POST AND I WILL UPDATE
hello i wanted to start this thread so that all people could contribute and define all the maps for those of us who like to learn how to " tweek" things. some of these things will be taken from other threads on this forum, some from posts, some from PMs to me,
this is a work in progress and will be updated from either people posting or PM-ing me, at least thats the idea,
lets see how far we can get.
Second post will be reserved for helpful hints in tuning such as boost pills, calibrating intakes, scaling injectors, Tephra mods, etc
Sso if you want to contribute here we go:
TIMING:
-High Octane Timing Map: This is the main Ignition timing map that the ECU uses at all times if there is no substantial knock or other problems. This is based off RPM and Load.)
-Low Octane Timing Map: secondary Ignition timing map, milder timing in case of knock detection
-MIVEC Intake#1: camshaft timing/lift adjustment, ECT<77decC
-MIVEC Intake#2: camshaft timing/lift adjustment, ECT>77decC
-MIVEC Exhaust#1: camshaft timing/lift adjustment, ECT<77decC
-MIVEC Exhaust#2: camshaft timing/lift adjustment, ECT>77decC
-Ignition WarmUp Retard
-EGR Timing Advance
FUEL:
-High Octane Fuel Map: main fueling map ECU uses in Open Loop mode
-Low Octane Fuel Map: secondary fueling map, milder AFR in case of knock detection
-Max Rich AFR Clip vs Coolant Temp
-Fuel Injector Scaling: reflects injector size, changed when upgrading injectors
-Injector Battery Voltage Latency Compensation: used to change injector latency v. battery voltage.
-Injector Base Latency
-Evap Map #1
-Evap Map #2
-Open Loop Load Low Octane #1: point at which ecu swithes from closed loop (02 sensor 14.7:1AFR) to open loop fueling(looking at fuel maps)

-Boost Target Engine Load #1A (High Gear Range)
-Boost Target Engine Load #1B (High Gear Range)
-Boost Target Engine Load #2 (Low Gear Range)
-Reactive Solenoid Base WGDC Map #1A (High Gear Range): used to set boost level using primary selonoid WGDC plotted against Throttle Position and RPM
-Reactive Solenoid Base WGDC Map #1B (High Gear Range): same as above
-Reactive Solenoid Base WGDC Map #2 (Low Gear Range): same as above
-Reactive Solenoid WGDC Correction Interval (High Gear Range)
-Reactive Solenoid Turbo Boost Error Correction: If the engine load is above or below the "Target Load" (see Boost Control Load Offset + Boost Target Engine Load tables) by a certain percentage, then actual wastegate duty cycle is added or subtracted depending on this table.
-Reactive Solenoid Max Total Upward WGDC Correction vs TPS
-Reactive Solenoid Max Total Downward WGDC Correction
-Passive Solenoid Base WGDC Map #1A (High Gear Range)

It would be nice if someone would be kind enough to create a sticky similar to the one in the Evolution 1-9 forum.
