Intake or Drop In

I did a quick search but didnt find anything definitive.

Is there any solid evidence that getting either a CAI, SRI, ARC Induction Box etc ..etc ..or any other form of intake system is better than just getting a Works,HKS, or KN panel filter w/ the stock air box?

I dont mean a 3-5HP difference, I mean is there enough improvement to justify spending $300-400 on a aftermarket intake system?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I havnt found anything concrete =P

Usually drop-ins max out its efficiency at about 350awhp.

Intake is the way to go if your plans are for big power.

I am positive you can do more than 350whp on a drop-in. I'd say if you are going for more than 400whp is when you want to consider a full intake.

i agree. panel filter is pretty efficient with the stock airbox up to a good amount of hp. unless you're going for a godly amount of hp the stock box w/ drop-in should suffice. i have read nowhere where the panel filter stopped being efficient at 350whp.
