ATTENTION: EVO X AccessPORT Stage 2+AEM Intake Map Recall
SUMMARY
COBB Tuning recently released new EVO X AccessPORT maps designed for the AEM intake. It has since been discovered that the Stage 2+AEM v1.01 maps for the MR edition EVO X are corrupt and can cause the ECU to become inoperable. The faulty maps have been identified, removed from the COBB Tuning EVO X Map Database and replaced with v1.02 maps that have been tested and are trouble-free.
RECALLED MAPS
Release Date: April 23, 2009
Affected Vehicles: 2008 Mitsubishi EVO X MR
Map Names: Stage2+AEM 91 Octane MRv101, Stage2+AEM 93 Octane MRv101 & Stage2+AEM ACN91 MRv101
REQUIRED ACTION
· Do not load any of the recalled maps listed above onto your ECU.
· Immediately remove all of the recalled maps listed above from your AccessPORT using the AP Manager
· Delete these maps from your computer.
· Download the updated v1.02 maps from the 2008 EVO X Map Database and install them on your AccessPORT.
ISSUE RESOLUTION
Installation of one of the corrupt maps can render your ECU inoperable. ECUs rendered inoperable from loading a corrupt map can be recovered with a reflash and will be repaired free of charge. If you are experiencing difficulty with your ECU as a result of installing a Stage2+AEM MRv101 map, please call our customer service team at 801-713-0035 for further instructions.
