ECUflash and WORKS flashed ECU
just be sure to read your stock tune before hand..oh wait...works has it...but not to worry, a lot of people have the oem flashes now.
HB speed is using open source EcuFlash tunes...I had mine done there and you can read/compare, edit, flash burn at will. I put it back to stock just the other day to bring it to the dealer for the hood latch cable campaign. You own your code..no monkey business.

We use all sorts of software for X's
Ecuflash, accessecu, and a few others
I prefer not to lock an ecu if I can trust the customer not to mess with the tune

I'm not inclined to get too creative with it (raised the rev limit 150 rpm)...besides it survived a pretty good two day track weekend at Spring Mtn. in Pahrump and a couple of thousand street miles with no problems..pretty happy with the conservative tune you did a couple of months back. The tailpipes don't even need to be wiped clean every two weeks anymore.

But it dosent matter anyway
Cobb has software you can use to tune your own ECU
Cobb has software to allow professional Tuners to tune your ecu
I like the AP for its ease of use, ability to swap maps without lugging a laptop around and to datalog without a lap top.
Pro tuned maps are "locked" and for good reason, it prevents the end user from messing with the tune and blowing the car up.
the "race" software is locked to one AP and can be used to tune your own Ecu, since then its on the user if the motor tanks
Once a car is tuned there really isnt much need to mess with it.
I dont see the huge issue with "locked" and unlocked ecu's.
