First post here. Just installed my Perrin TBE yesterday. Using Cobb AP with stage 2. I would like to get a custom tune. The problem is I don't know where to go. Did a search, but nothing specific. I live east of Pittsburgh. Thanks for any information.

slowboy racing is in indiana pa. they have done work to the 4g's not sure if they have touched the new 4b's though.

na, i just bought a few parts from them when i lived in the area. I never had work done by them. they turbo'd a lancer for a guy i used to play paintball with and did a good job, aside from that i havn't heard much else about them.

I have no personal experience with them but that alone is enough to steer me away. Not to mention they are based in Cali making it tougher to deal with if problems arise down the road. Which according to linked post there is high probability of that being the case.

I would drive to Buschur or CBRD. You would just have to decide which one you'd rather drive to. Both are very reputable shops.

Also if I may, I would try and sell your COBB AP and get the new ECUflash software before having your car tuned. Its only 180$. Much more dynamic tuning tool and will be able to be used much more easily further down the line.

Innovative Tuning in Buffalo. Mike is well versed with all sorts of tuning software including the Cobb AP

 

Innovative is shady at best. I've talked to a few of their former customers and none of them had anything good to say. I've talked to Mike and he seemed much more interested in getting my keys and "road tuning" it than answering my questions, I left before that could happen.

I went with the Cobb AP instead.

 

Buschur Racing is only about 3 hours away. Take it there.

 

I'd suggest Buschur too, but the Cobb AP is sort of worthless then. I'd resell it.

 

CBRD can protune the COBB AP.
