p1235 & p1238 @1000rpm

I am having issue with CEL p1235 & p1238 right off the line. It does not go on while I am crusing and WOT. It just happen off the line. Does anyone have any suggestion? I have FP red, 800cc injector, Cosworth cams and all bolt-ons.

Do you mean right off the line as in when you launch or just come off from an idle at a light etc?

I would assume you are tuned for the FP red, injectors, cams etc, have you talked to your tuner?

PM me as I know exactly what needs to be changed in your ecu to clear those codes and prevent them from popping up again.

Airflow and torque tables need to be adjusted. It's not a secret

Yes sir, probably needs to be adjusted down bellow 3k to account for the slower spool of the red.

Be sure that your timing chain is installed on the right teeth also. A tooth off can lead to these issues as well.

The chain is 100% on. Just a minor issue that was resolved! Thanks though!

timing chain

I am sure my installation was done correctly, and now I don't have issue with p1235 & p1238 in low rpm. I only have it on high RPM. I guess, I have to adjust my EVC. Thanks DG motors for all their help. I would recommand everyone I know to use their services!!!

Anytime Kevin, glad the car is running great. It made some sick power so far!

I had my car on the Dyno today and after the driver went WOT at 2k it entered limp mode within a second seemingly due to airflow being lower than expected. I understand the airflow check and torque limiter maps need to be adjusted for part throttle overboost and higher flowing turbos at WOT, but the how is increasing limits going to help codes being throw related to slower spool of this turbo at low RPM?

Any pointers on what to tweak would be greatly appreciated!

You need to reduce them most likely in the lower RPM areas with the "laggier" turbo

Ah that makes sense, on a hunch I already shifted all the cells from 2000 RPM down to 2500 and interpolated between that range. Some values ended up dropping from 149 at WOT down to 89 for 2000 RPM which should hopefully do the trick. It's easy enough to duplicate if it is still being triggered, thanks for verifying!

Would a value being higher give you an over boost code? I left mine stock on the low load areas because higher gears will use those same load cells. On 5th gear, with a bigger turbo, the car will start spooling like it was on 3rd or 4th(on stock turbo). So why change the numbers?
So far I have only change the high load cells. I will change the low load if it gives me a problem.
