New to EVO's. I have an EVO X with no mods except the Cosworth drop in filter. I got the WORKS mail in flash....

Amazing difference from stock! So much more responsive and the power at the top of the RPM range is much stronger.

After a long drive today...the car seemed very hot and had that "smell" you get when the car is new or you get a new exhaust.

Is that normal when getting a tune, access port or a flash like the WORKS one?

 

was the smell there bfore? if no then its not normal

 

The smell was NOT there before. It's new after the re-flash, but I was driving it hard and we drove for about 2 hours.

 

Could you be mistaking the smell for a little clutch slipping if you were driving it really hard?

I hope so! The car feels so much better! Amazing power and way smoother. It just had that "new exhaust" type smell or maybe the clutch. I'll drive it again tomorrow and maybe compare it to today.

 

I've driven the car hard the last few days with no issues...It might have been the cat expanding a bit more vs. the stock tune? Not sure, but damn does the car feel good! It's night and day compared with the stock tune! Totally changes the car.
