Guys I recently upgraded my clutch, pressure plate and flywheel and I began getting some issues.

First of all, I live in Trinidad and our local Mitsu dealer does not support the Evo X's, don't ask why but that's what it is. Point is all the work that has to be done on these cars must be done privately.

Good thing is that we've got excellent technicians, all the service manuals and there's no problem.

So after the new clutch / flywheel install I realized the traction warning light comes on, check engine light comes on and the ASC indicator in the dash lights up. The car then goes into limp mode, so I've got to stop, shut off for a few seconds and then restart. When I do that the car seems to go back to normal as far as I can tell.

Problem is that it keeps happening all the time.

I'm also getting another warning signal on my dash. It's the symbol of a headlight with the an arrow above and below the beam. All my vehicle lights are working so can't figure this one out. Anyone knows where I can find a glossary of the errors and/or warning light meanings?

If I knew how to post photos I can post them up.

IIRC your car is a JDM car, right? Man it's going to be tough for us to diagnose it.

Hook a code scanner up to the car and tell us what code it's throwing.

where can I get a listing of what these malfunction symbols on the dash means?

 

Pull the codes out of the ECU....

But if you have the service manual, they should be in there too.
