Boost Tuning
Hey guys,
I am trying to fine tune my boost. I have a stock Evo X with a testpipe and stock catback exhaust. My EcuFlash maps are targeting about 11:1 A/f and I have made some Mivec changes.
I would like the boost to stay around 23 from 3700-5500, and then try fall off as normal. Unless there is a way to get it to stay around 20psi to redline on stck boost control and turbo.
I have never adjusted the ecu maps for boot control before
I believe I need to adjust the Passive WGDC higher right? Or would this cause a higher spike?
Attached is a XLS file with graph of boost, load, AWGDC and PWGDC.
Again car is stock with stock air filter (23k miles), with test pipe and stock catback. WB02 will be installed this weekend and then a different K&N airfilter will be installed.

It looks like you are overshooting your boost target engine loads at peak boost (hitting 25 instead of 23). You can see your active WGDC drop below 100 which means that the boost error correction is kicking in. I would try adjusting your passive WGDC to get your desired boost. It also looks like your passive WGDC is already maxed out at 100 above 5500 rpm's. This means you won't be able to get any more boost out of the car unless you get the GST boost pill or possibly adjust the wastegate arm tension. I would make Excel graphs of the data to make it easier for you to see the boost trends. It will make adjusting your passive WGDC much easier!
