Do I need a better BOV?

Hi, I have a FP black on a 2.3 stroker built motor, pump only.

I've been having some trouble holding higher boost, I was tuned whith 28 spike holding 26 psi. Now I only see 28 if I push it from lower rpms on a higher gear (3 or 4th). If I go from a stop the higher it gets is 25.

I tried adjusting my manual boost controller (hallman) where I have turned more than one and a half turns, and same thing, maybe a .5 increase.

Could be the stock metal (crushed) bov? would a better BOV help? which one? bad boost controller? leaks?

Thanks for your reply

The stock BOV should be able to hold that boost no problem w/out it being crushed

Is the BOV venting or recirculating?

Look into a Cobb DV. Mine holds 30psi without a issue, no leaks.

Do a boost leak test. It will tell you what isn't holding boost...
