Is a 4.2 second 0-60 normal for this tune?

I also am not sure how accurate 0-60 times are on AP, but I have gotten 3.8 a few times, and can be pretty consistently 4.1-4.3. Even with a bad launch I still can get 4.5-4.6, so Id say you are about right. Ive never driven a MR though.

nice! now if we could only get the evo to look like these cars and have the same resale! but seriously, its nice to see what a lightly modded evo can hang with in a straight line; 0-60 anyway....

Unless i read the graph wrong and used the wrong drive-train loss, i used 20%, i should be close to the FQ 360.

That would be wrong. That graph says "flywheel" on it, not wheel... which means that reading was measured at the flywheel, which is bolted to the crank. The 20% loss you're thinking would be if that graph said wheel horsepower, and even then 20% would be low.

At the crank you should be running close to what the graph says - 287hp and 318 torque.

I don't think so. How he could have only 287hp at crank with a tune, when it's 291hp stock?? I see the graph says FlyWheel, but it appears to be misleading. I think the numbers strongly suggest it's whp.

I would agree, I was just going by their chart. That'd be a question for Perrin.

Also, I would figure with drivetrain loss with the manual trans + transfer case + driveshaft + AWD system that the drivetrain loss number would be closer to 30% than 20%. I know that when we were big in to FWD Hondas that the drivetrain loss through a manual trans would be around 20%, and that's with no xfer case and only spinning 2 wheels.

I saw that flywheel label as well, the only thing I can come up with is that it is mislabeled, should say whp.

How does the Perrin stg1 map feel compared with the AP stg1 map? I am running the AP stg1 now but am thinking about getting the Perrin.

I don't know how it feels but if you didn't buy the AP from Perrin the map will cost $180. Just read the posts above you and it will explain.

Oh yeah, car had less than a 1/4 tank and me in it. I weigh 150.
My AP said I did 0-60 in 4.5 with the same setup in my GSR. Like a previous member said... The AP reads from the ECU so it probably pretty accurate!

Ok, with a 1/4 tank of gas and 86 degree temp I ran another 4.20 and a 4.22. I am pretty happy. Now I need to see if it can handle a sub 4 second 0-60.
