Is a 4.2 second 0-60 normal for this tune? Perrin, Cobb where are you? We need you!

I have a Perrin drop in filter and the COBB Access Port running the Perrin stage 1 map. I made the run using the launch control on the MR, TC was off. It was measured using the AP. I am just wondering if 4.2 seconds was normal for these mods. Seems kinda low to me. The 0-60' time was 1.8. I know this is a trivial question but inquiring minds want to know. Oh yeah, car had less than a 1/4 tank and me in it. I weigh 150.

It's probably pretty accurate. The AP reads vehicle speed, so it knows when when you start moving from 0 and when you hit 60mph. It's not like an accelerometer that only measures G forces and predicts what the speed would be.

I actually thought it was pretty fast.... especially for an MR with only a stage 1 and perrin drop in. I am running Cobb's stage 1 and I got a 4.9 according to the Cobb 0-60, but I don't have a drop in... and I also had a 200 lb passanger in there with me so that could make a difference.

200 lb passenger makes a difference, think of how much slower your car is with every passenger you add

I paid 677 for the AP, the custom Perrin map and the drop in filter.

I have only done just a handful of launches, so far so good.

Wow 4.2 sounds a little fast actually. This car is around 4.8-4.9 stock with a perfect launch.

definitely fast but its probably because he doesn't have to worry about driver error with shifting/clutch work. as long as you get a good launch, then you're good.

I had a great launch, no spin. I was thinking about the FQ 360. It has 360 crank hp and does 0-60 in 4.1. It does have a 5 speed though. According to Perrin's dyno graphs i should be running around 360 crank hp and around 380 crank tq. Unless i read the graph wrong and used the wrong drive-train loss, i used 20%, i should be close to the FQ 360.

How did you manage to get all that for just $677? Perrin web site lists $695 for AP, and $180 for Stage 1 map.

Well the custom map is free if you purchase the AP from them. They also have a coupon code worth 13% off most of their products, its called x-mas in July. That 13% does not apply to the AP so I asked Chris if he could cut me a deal so he gave me 10% on the AP and the 13% coupon on the filter. I may have gotten free shipping as well, cant remember, but i think i did.

I looked at my invoice and found out that I did pay for shipping, it was $13.59.

The AP with custom map was $664.19 with 10% discount

The Perrin panel filter was $38.69 with a 14% discount, not sure why it wasn't 13%, I'm not complaining

Make sure the road you run is absolutely flat with no inclines or declines.
