Boost Spiking/Cobb AP Stage 2?

I'm running a test pipe and cat back exhaust on a stage 2 AP map, and it's spiking pretty high, mainly in 5th gear on the highway if I punch it. Could I put the pill back in to control the spike and still maintain the boost target?

How high is "high"?

I've had no boost spikes at Cobb Stage 2 (+ AEM intake) with a high-flow cat and CBE.

also did you notice the spike on the boost gauge or confirm in a data log. Sometimes the guage will read high. As far as your question about the "pill", I'm not sure.

Good luck.

^^^yeah that. I used to have what I thought was bad spikes and then I got my gauge and it's very little if any.

29psi on the gauge, 28.7psi on the logs.

Put the pill back in, and it is hitting the boost target of 25psi and tapering like its supposed to. YMMV though

Our maps were designed for cars with high-flow cats, a catless system may have issues with boost control. You may want to consider a custom tune to take advantage of your free-flowing exhaust system and optimize the boost control.
