COBB AP & tuned Evo X

I've got an evo x and I've done a lot of mods to it. Turbo, cams and all the other stuff. I've also done EcuTeK flash to the ECU.

I want to use the accessport for monitoring and diagnostics rather than tuning, however if I understand the instructions properly, it says that I've got to install a map first.

When I scroll down the screen I'm getting the option to:
1. install a map
2. troubleshoot ECU codes and errors
3. About COBB accessport.

Where do I go for the monitoring of parameters, 0-60 and quartermile etc?

I'm pretty sure you have to install a map first.

the cobb should have a section that says install. Once installed it will copy your cars stock ecu tables... it takes about 20 minutes... once thats done you can load your map.

Once your map is loaded, you will be able to scroll through the main menu and it will have an option with a stopwatch that says performance if you want to check what your car dynos, 1/4 mile, etc. The other selection will say "monitor" if i recall. Thats the option you need to select. You can choose with tables you want to log, plug it into your laptop with accesstuner race software and go at it. All you would need to do is hit start log

this is what I was afraid of.

so does this mean that I cannot use my current map if I want to use the monitor feature?

If I choose install, the unit would then install a new map which would then superseed my existing map.
