Pre-turbo there is no boost, it's a negative pressure, aka vacuum. That is why it's impossible to have a boost leak at the MAF sensor flange, unless you relocated the MAF sensor to the UICP or LICP

i use Injen SP1899P 08 Evo X

I have been using Injen cold air intakes for all my cars I have them in my Evos and one in my Infiniti M56s. also use the Borla catback.
