EVO X b411t going into a baja, need help with ECU

i have a 4b11t that i got a hold of and i am gonna put it in my sandrail/baja. i was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction of where to get the stock ECU stripped to its essentials...get rid of Cat, emissions controls, ABs, Airbags...so on and so on...any idea?

Why does it matter, are you planning on leaving the CEL plugged in?

This is the forum for the older ECU, you may want to hope over to the X tuning subforum.

New EVO X Plug and Play from Cosworth probably be able to satisfy. They are close by (torrance) to you as well.

Why would you buy a haltech or AEM over that? Just because of price?
Performance wise, i would not even compare the Cosworth unit.

wrong is the word on the street, the ECU on the X uses a CAM computing system. the computer is literally tied into every lil thing of the car including the radio and climate control. Without these systems being there, especially the cat and emissions control, it wont just fire off codes, it will straight up not run.

the cosworth is a solution, but that system is far more advanced than i need and cost more than i paid for the whole motor complete, but is an option, thanx.

as for everyone else on this thread, your a-holes...someone comes to you with a need for knowledge and you act like spricks. sorry you dont like that fact that im clearly far more advanced at one off ideas and designs than you two are. This forum is for evo x engine management systems, which is what i have and am asking about. im not over here asking for reasons why my 4 inch over arms wont line up with my king pins...just because you dont like what i am doing with my project doesnt mean you have to be jerks...

that the difference between this forum and the other 3 i joined, i got responses immediately with no smug remarks or asinine comments, just help and request for pictures...be more freindly or shut the **** up

thank you to everyone else who helped me but u wont see me around here anymore and im sure there will be plenty of people happy about that

RRE in Santa Fe Springs has the ability to strip down the ECU appropriately, they will be doing it for me. If anyone else has an issue or idea like this i suggest you give them a call...ask for mike or scot

Word on the street......
WRONG. Many people, including myself, don't even have a cat, or a muffler for that matter.

If you had a price cap in mind, you should have put that in the original post.

Just because you don't like the answer to your question, doesn't make it not true, or the poster a jerk. You asked a question, you got an accurate and nealy immediate response.

You stfu. You're the only one here crying like some kind of small child, simply because someone was being a smart ***. Is this your first trip into the big bad internet without you mom? Seriously, toughen up.

This directly contradicts your first paragraph, but since you already had the answer, why did you waste anyone here's time asking?

Someone lock this crybaby's thread.

WRONG AGAIN ERNIE!! I said systems (plural, more than one, generally more than two) like the cat AND emissions control along with curve and line controls.... speaking of acting like a kid, learn to read moron
.

and no...the last paragraph doesnt contradict the first one. he has to do a lot o faking to get it to work. thereby convincing the computer those systems are there, MAKING MY FIRST STATEMENT TRUE.

the entire build thus far of the car is on this build thread. Its missing a few points here and there but its pretty much all there. as for the engine itself nothing has really happened with it yet, more gathering information. the motor is at Kennedy getting an adapter plate made for it. When i get it back my buddy and i are gonna sit there, catalog, and go through the WHOLE process step by step and write everything down to be able to share the knowledge for other people to use....once we figure it out that is.

i will post pictures as we go though if anyone is interested.

wow some people are major douche bags!

props for using the 4b11t motor for your project! its light and had great output which is just what you need in a buggy. not to mention cheeper than a lsX motor and still lighter, simple mods and tuning and youd kill any lsX buggy.

Im yet to read about your build but are you retaining awd?

This looks like a great build! Your in good hands with RRE. What made you go with the 4b11 over the 4g63? The 4g63 has a ton of aftermarket support and you can use the evo 8 ecu with a 2g harness.

I checked out the pics on the post above, great job! If you need a custom intercooler for that beast let me know!
