Stock or tuned?

Picked up a used 08 a few weeks ago from a dealer and it has an AMS intake and intercooler pipe. It pulls pretty hard, either I'm not used to the power or its tuned. What do you think would be the easiest way to see if it is stock or tuned? Dealership?

Thanks

DO NOT bring it to a Mitsu dealership if you don't know it's tuned or not... you could easily void the warranty that way (unless you are going to have it inspected by the same dealership you got the X from). Go to a tuner instaed, or buy a tactrix cable and hook it up to a laptop. Research about ECUflash while you're at it.

your close enough to AMS, either give them the VIN to see if they can pull it up to see if its been flashed by them or not.

If not, bring it down to Chris and the Boys at AMS and get that thing flashed!!!

Put it on a dyno and do a baseline pull. The guy running the dyno will know what a stock X puts down (220-240 depending on dyno). If it's 40+ higher then it'll be pretty obvious.

Try to find the preview owner, give him a call and ask him, it's for free.
Sometimes it works; sometimes they will just hang up.
It worked for me ones with a corvette, the guy was really nice, took the car back to stock in five minutes.

Find someone with a OP20 cable and download the ROM.

This doesn't really tell him if it has a stock tune or a custom one, he already knows its been modded. Best to go to AMS or some other tuner and get them check the ROM.
