It means that your o2 sensor is too far away from the exhaust flow.

You should use the AMS spacer, possibly one of the larger holes...

I think it comes with three sizes.

any thoughts on P0140 code ? i keep getting that no matter what i do. tried disabling it with a code on ecuflash, didn't work. tried running it like normal didn't work. tried buying a spacer didn't work. nothing seems to work for this damn code. my next step is to hook it up on the other bung that the UR test pipe comes with which i believe is for a wideband, but who knows maybe it will work....

Do you have it closer or further away from the downpipe right now? It should be as far away as possible.

And the code was 0140 with the extender?

If so, put a piece of steel wool in the extender. It should limit exhaust flow even further.

but the code says "not detected" wouldn't that make it worse? i'm going to try it without the extender and with the steel wool. we'll see i guess.

Oh, good call. I thought this was a 0420 even though I specifically typed out 0140.

Are you sure the O2 sensor is intact and plugged in?

I received 0140 when my sensor is unplugged. Now that I have my wideband running through the rear O2 circuitry, I get an 0139 (slow circuit response). The "disable" options in ECUFlash did not take away either of these unfortunately.

I'd love a fix, whether it be as mentioned in the OP, or some other ECU method.
