"service required" @ WOT after disabling asc

So i turned off my asc this morning by holding it for 3 seconds, and there aren't any problems, but while i'm on the freeway in 5th, i get on it and this light comes on as the car starts to really pull...after i parked and turned the car back on the light was off. Has anyone experienced this and can shed some light? Thanks

i looked at some other threads and suspect it may be the rear diff but i'm not entirely sure.

Are you tuned via Ecuflash and using the DTC disable?

Sounds like airflow/torque limit tables kicking in to me. What's your tune like? You're probably flowing more air than expected.

I would say contact your tuner to confirm its torque/airflow.

Gotta love the X !

cuz on my tune i should be hitting about ~26 psi max, although with the tp i will see spikes of 29 psi at right above 3k rpm then it tapers down. if i'm understanding what is being discussed, its that since i'm hitting higher boost than the limit was originally set for, theres a dtc? i apologize in advance if my understanding is incorrect.
Running an extra 3 psi could most definitely result in 20% more load or more and trigger Boost Limit codes or other issues.

This is why you shouldn't tune for parts then install new ones without a tune...prime examples.

I guess I should clarify, I was tuned for all the mods I have. What I dont get is I just changed the brand of Test Pipe that I have. It shouldnt have affected the tune at all. So Im kind of stuck and dont get why it would be causing a problem. I didnt disable the ASC when it happened but did give it a good pull in 3rd. I have heard about a limp mode and that is what my assumption is. I am going to look into it more this weekend.

You are in Michigan, it's cold there right now, i assume you were tuned in summer?

You are more than likely boost spiking from the code and this is what caused it, its been freezing up north the last few weeks.

I had that.
P1241 and hard limp mode.
Did the DTC disable and have not had the service required and ASC off come back since.
