Does anyone know the process for hooking up a Tractrix cable and downloading a Dyno Map from a laptop to an Evo X.

I have a map from my last Dyno and the cable, but have never tried to download the data.

Afraid to cook my ECU.

 

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to download a copy of the ROM file currently on your ECU? Or are you trying change ROM files?

If you're thinking that the power/torque graphs from a dyno session are stored somewhere on your ECU, they're not.

 

Its very simple =-)


Plug your tactrix cable to the car
Turn the car to the on position (dont start the motor)
Open ecuflash and load the map
Hit upload (don't interrupt the program or turn off the car during this process)

After its finished a window will pop up telling you its complete.
