In general when you mention an EBC I think of a standalone system like an HKS EVC but what you have is what is normally reffered to as a 3 port solenoid that plugs into the factory harness. Since what you have is controlled by the factory ECU, it should do pretty good in controlling boost unless the reaction speed of the solenoid is slow.

Are you sure it's plugged into the correct solenoid connector and the lines are correct?

I believe so, I'll double check the install. When i say EBC I think of 3 ports and standalone boost controllers. Just so we're clear, I'm using the stock ECU to control my GrimmSpeed 3 port. I think I'll have it dialed in soon. I haven't been able to dedicate time to it over the last few days. Maybe tomorrow.

I'll keep this thread up to date.

I run ecu controlled boost on my car, but keep in mind that for some people it is not at all easy to tune. Some people like the ease of set up and adjustment of an EBC or MBC.

Well some people should not breath but they do. It is WAY safer to run it through your ecu. Now if you got 3 port and using your ecu good deal. The ecu on x is very good.
