o2 directly to 5v analog output

Just wondering if anyone has tried this, but is it possible to pickup a wideband o2 and convert the output directly to 5v analog without going through a gauge such as the lc-1/uego?

I really only use the wideband for logging and don't care about the gauge as much (they don't match the defi nicely), though if it's not possible I could just hide it in the glove compartment.

Yes.

The LC-1 does this, you don't need a gauge at all.

AEM also has a "AEM Inline Wideband UEGO Controller", which is the gaugeless-version of the UEGO.

Nice, thanks! Downside is it's almost the same price as the gauge

there are 3 parts to the wideband:

1) The wideband sensor, ie Bosch LSU4.2 etc
2) The wideband controller, ie LC1, ZT2, AEM etc
3) The gauge

You NEED 1+2

PLX can too. Just get an SM AFR and it can output the signal. NO gauge needed.

PLX SM-AFR = O2 + controller. You can add gauge but not necessary

Still, the idea was to save a couple bucks which doesn't seem possible. Guess I'll just spend the extra $10 more and hide the gauge somewhere.

you don't have to install the gauge at all.
