OBD II stopped working looks to be car

So I was clearing my normal code from my test pipe and my scanner died. At first I thought it was the scanner. But when I tested it on one of my other cars it still works fine. So I am guessing the OBD port shorted a fuse or a conection broke. Anyone ever have this happen and have any ideas where to start looking?
Thanks,
Robert

Found it. If anyone if the future loses the ability to talk to the car through the OBD2 the fuse that runs it is number 5, optional 10A as seen in owners manual page 7-41.
