Thoughts on my future setup..?

whats up everyone,

im planning on getting the HKS Hi-Power cat back exhaust + 3 inch down pipe (im not sure which one to get) HKS Hybrid Filter and Cobb AP. im planning on running the 91 octane hks stage 2 OTS map. Read my sig for my current mods.

Now for the questions.

1. Im looking for a good 3 inch down pipe that wont hurt my wallet, any suggestions?

2. any thoughts on the HKS Hi-Power exhaust?

3. will my future setup be compatible with my current mods in order to run HKS stage 2 OTS map safely?

4. what kind of gains am i looking at here?

Thanks in advance. feel free to suggest other parts for i am still shopping around and not dead set on going mostly HKS but, i am dead set on 3 inches all the way to the turbo and dual tips. keep in mind that im looking to spend no more then $1400 on this set up (CB + DP + drop in + AP)

1. ETS or AMS DP both are 3 inch and will run you mid 400s. Not sure if you will hit your goal of under $1k Im not familiar with HKS's Price.

2. Cant help ya there

3. If you have a cob they have tons of maps you can choose from for your set up

4. With catback exhaust and a few bolt ons I hit 330 whp at 25 psi with 93 oct (mustang dyno). Id say around there if the Downpipe. That 2 oct difference will probably hurt you

Hope I helped I can only base this info off my car and experience.

mmm....I'm pretty happy with my AMS widemouth downpipe. After the install, I spooled up quicker. It was an all day event for the install, lots of PB blaster and patience. It definetly let me turbo breath better. I'm running a FP Red now, and I am extremely happy with the sound and responsiveness. I wish I could drop some more tech info for ya, but I can only speak from my experience.

edit: changed my goal to under $1400 due to the fact that i forgot to factor in the AP. HKS CB + AP = $1100. i cant go ams or ets. would just a shorty 3 inch DP do the job for stage 2? or is a DP with out o2 housing do absolutely nothing?

This seems much more like a parts question than a tuning question...

Can't get much better than the AMS widemouth, but if you have to cut corners the rexpeed is only ~$185.

I'm sure the AP maps are conservative, so you should be fine with a map for a similar setup to yours.

If your current mods are just a test pipe and UICP and the test pipe is made to fit stock orientation, then sure... I'd assume all parts that are made to fit the same orientation would work together.
