High idling RPM problem
some update.
i installed stage one 93 to my MR, took out drop in filter, put the stock one back, no more high idling issue, just a little bit louder than before. im gonna run stage two tomorrow and see what happen.

My MR idles high when in drive and stopped at a light. 1500rpm. I uninstalled the AP and it doesnt do it anymore. It started when I upgraded to the v1.06 map. I tried it with the HKS filter map and then put the OEM filter in and changed maps and it still reved high.
i put stock filter back, running stage one 93, when stop at a light, it rev to 1500 but couple seconds down to 800. it doesnt stay high anymore but definitely not running smooth enough. the rev just kinda weird. im gonna uninstall it and wait for new update from cobb.
I made a post about this almost a year ago. My story:
08 GSR. Every now and then, my car would get into "high rpm" mode where it would not idle below 2000 RPM (usually it was 2000 RPM, but sometimes it was 1750 or 1500). When in this mode, it would dip down, say, to 1500 when at 2000 as I stopped, but as I sat there it shot right back up! Two things seemed to cause it: really flogging on the car, or partial throttle (<30%) during spool in 5th gear. It seemed to happen A LOT this winter, but hasn't happened in close to two months now that the weather has been getting nicer. Oh yeah, no CEL.
I did a log once(it was hard to reproduce. to the OP: does this happen constantly, or erratically?), and the only thing I noticed is that Throttle Position seemed to be higher (around 14% vs 8% normally) when this occurred, so I attributed it to some sort of failure in the DBW system (bad TPS? bad pedal sensor?). Never really figured this one out, but didn't look too hard. Perhaps it is related?

on MR a lot of ppl got high idling at 1400, 1500rpm and wont go up like 2000rpm on gsr, this only happened when they updated 1.06 map. so what they do is either using old 1.04 map or back to stock map, and wait for new update from cobb.

i think the problem on GSR is different from MR, i read a lot about this recently, and theres a 20+ pages thread about this, search MAF bad you might see something worth to read, im sure you can get your answer there. in your case i would say check the MAF and your intake or drop in filter might be bad for MAF sensor. a lot of ppl had this issue and they found MAF was bad. what code did you get?

I looked into the Cobb maps and it looks like there is a mistake - in maps 1.04 and below the idle RPM were correct (about 700), but with new release of 1.06 there is idling in gear set to 1398 RPM.
You can downgrade to 1.04 version or manually change the map setting for idle in the 1.04 version.

u kno i should use the temp fix map or the old 1.04?
I emailed them and they sent me a 1.07 test 93 stage 2 hkspf map. For the most part, the idle goes down at a stop, BUT it's still maybe 100-200rpm higher than 1.04. Also, as you slowly come to a stop, from what I can tell as the clutches releases, RPMs move upwards towards 1400 momentarily, but will continue to drop as you come to a complete stop.
Something is still a bit buggy, but I will definately keep this map around. With these "issues" it somehow makes the car very quick in the city esp. around sweeper corners. It might be that it's inducing more throttle (using more gas) like a throttle controller, but it makes the car more fun to drive. I can do some logs perhaps to see what's happening, but it's worth at least trying it out and helping COBB with the R&D!
