Should I sell my AP and just use the ECUtek stuff?

Do all these EVO X AP users understand/know why there is no longer a EVO 8/9 AP??
Its because ECUFlash/cable KILLED it. Actually MURDERED it, like it did to most all other engine management systems for the EVO 8/9.
As soon as the EVO X ECUFlash movement gets bigger, AP price's will fall like a rock off a cliff. Saw it happen with the Xede, Utec, and the AP with the EVO 8/9s, and it will happen again.
On top if it, like other have said, the tunes on a AP are "off the sheff" tunes. They were NOT made for YOUR car. They were NOT made for YOUR mods. And even though they leave power on the table and are "conservative" tunes, they are still NOT as safe as a custom tune that is custom made for YOUR car, mods, location, gas, driving style, etc.

well yeah, but the idea is that there are some very crappy tuners who offer "custom tunes" and they wind up causing major damage or problems that then another better tuner has to come behind and fix.

You're right, it won't change peoples opinions (usually). The point is it helps people make educated decisions when they come to this thread in the future.
