BIG MAPS oh where art thou?

Coming from the 4G63 group I have to say one of the best improvements in Tephmods for the CT9A was the addition of big maps.

Not only for load above 320 but IMHO the quarter RPM increment spots up to 5500 RPMs just made taming the AFR and timing a ton easier and more accurate way to get the fuel and timing curves we all hunt for.

So I guess this is a way to ask the ROM gods (Tephra haha) are there any plans for this soon?
Also I wanted to show the people who may have only ever tuned 4B11's and not seen the BIG MAPs before to check it out. Also to see if this has been discussed before and I just missed it or if it interest anyone else?

Please note I did not blur these maps because I am all private about my maps or anything, there DEV maps and the values have no real....... value haha
So I did not want someone just looking without reading, using them and blowing there ish up

4B11 Fuel Map

4G63 BIG Fuel Map

4B11 Timing Map

4G63 BIG Timing Map

Thanks

Another thing I wanted to note for everyone was notice the load goes up in 20 increments but on the big maps from 200 load on its 10 increments.

Another great way to harness that power band

Also for those looking for reference the 4B11 ROM is TephmodV1 and the 4G63 ROM is TephmodV7

I just don't know if BIGMAPS is required?

Maybe for GIGANTIC turbo setups - but apart from that I think you can rescale the stock setup pretty well?

edit - thanks G!

Tephra, did you forget the word "know" in your first sentence?

IMHO the BIGMAPS really help, but some rescaling would work I guess.....

I agree; unnecessary for the majority of cars. I saw then as nothing more than added hassle on the IX which is why I never upgraded to V7.

Thats just for you though, I am a tuner so I kind of like to have my options.
Also lets be honest bigger turbos are getting more and more common on X's now

Plus for me the main gain here was for the RPM 1/4 jumps, the extra load cells are just a bonus

Oh..

I was thinking it was just the extra load cells that was what was needed?

Nope Like I said load cells are a + but my main goal was

1. 1/4 RPM jumps

2. Load past 200 being in 10's E.g 200, 210, 220, 230. 240 ect. other then 200, 220, 240

3. Load cells past 320

Big maps did all that so I was blanketing 3 issues into 1 solution.
