Do I need a replacement 02 front 02 sensor?

OEM Codes:
P2195 Oxygen sensor inactive (bank1 sensor1)
P0133 Oxygen sensor slow response (bank1 sensor1)
p0420 3 way converter (bank 1) whatever the hell that is...

OBD system codes... don't know why ECUflash wouldn't bring these up but...

P0420 Catalyst system efficientcy below threshold (bank1)
P0133 02 sensor circuit slow response
p2195 02 sensor signal biased/stuck lean (bank1sensor1)

AFR at idle:

It's prety rough

P2195 means its using the rear02 to provide trim control instead of the front02.

1) I would check wiring
2) Reset the ECU (to clear the codes)
3) See if they come back
4) Either warranty the car OR buy a new front02 OR take your rear02 and put it in the front (i think they are the same part#)

I doubt they will let me warranty it lol. When I try to read the codes from ECUflash it just says "unable to communicate with ECU"... don't get it.

I had a friend read it with one of those pro code readers, and cleared the codes once... it came right back.

ECUFlash doesn't read codes.

I am not sure if EvoScan works.

PCMScan does - but its not free.

I would ring mitsu and confirm the part numbers are the same, then go ahead and use your rear02 inplace of the front02

Then check your trims after a while to make sure you didn't kill it by excessive rich condition...

Also... i'm on a MBC, could I just flash the stock ROM and see if it still jumps around or if it was tuned while the car had a problem? I know the numbers won't be at stoich, but the idle would at least be normal sounding wouldn't it?

well I would get under the car and see if there is any damage to the front02 wiring, and make sure its plugged in properly..

I did get under it and checked out the wiring to make sure no rocks or anything hit it... it looked fine to me.

Where are the 2 sensors plugged in? I know 1 is under the console right? The other is where?

LHD/USDM:

Front02 will come into the passenger footwell, near the left foot - peel back the carpet
Rear02 will come UNDER the passenger seat - peel back the little cutout in the carpet

howcome we can't do that trick where we take the 02 sensor and put those things in front of them so it takes the air off it? It worked on the VIII's and IX's.

spark plug extenders?

you can - but its a bit hit and miss.

but thats only for the rear02, your front02 is required to be in the exhaust stream and fully functional.
