SE model ... ECUFLASH or EVOSCAN problems?

Given that only 340 are made and I know all aren't sold, my concern is that I'm setting myself up for failure with my desire to use ECUFLASH, EVOSCAN and maybe evne someday a Tephra mod. Can anyone say which ROM these come with? Given that they are mostly MR's with a few non-ecu related differences am I mostly safe in my car choice and wanting to be able to fully take advantage of the community's ECUFLASH and EVOSCAN knowledge?

Thanks
Alex

PS: who knows maybe I'll bring my laptop with me tomorrow on my test drive and hook it up to read the rom hehe

I got an Se about a week ago and downloaded it last night. I forgot the number and I'm at work. I can post it up when I get home this evening if you can wait.

Edit: Actually now I remember it is 55580006. I'll double check and edit again if needed.

I also was using Evoscan without any problems that I could notice but I am a rookie and was only using it for a few minutes. I was to clear the p1871 code that popped up after reading the rom with Ecuflash.

yeah it kinda freaked me out at first but just putting "P1871" into google it seems like this is normal any time the ecu is read or written to.

Only the 2008+ lancers/evos and ralliarts with out a manual transmission (cvt, sst, tcsst.) will throw a cel when the rom is read, This is because the communication between the ecu and the tcu (transmission computer unit or w.e. its called) is disrupted in order to download the rom.

i was freaked out too when i read the rom on my cvt lancer for the first time

Ahhh I suppose that makes sense. [sigh] I know I liked driving the SST in my test drive, and I'm excited that I'll no longer choose my SUV over my VIII to commute, but boy I think that SST is going to get on my nerves tuning wise :-\
