P0243 wastage malfunction
good suggestion tephra but i think it's too advaced for op aas he is new to the tuning world. no offense but what if he's overboosting due to other reasons and he go set it up and do a couple of pulls and then kaboom as he is boosting quite high for the quality of gas that he's filling up.
just my 2 cents. better to be safe than sorry.
op i'd highly suggest you to take yr ride back to your tuner and let him solve it for you as you paid for the tune and now there is a problem with it before you modify the tune and your tuner can say oppsss sorry i won't cover anything as you've "messed" with the tables.

) with tuning the X but I can monitor my boost (27.8 spike, 25 by 7k,) knock (<2 counts) and A/F (12.0-12.3 WOT) just now on crappy Ca91 gas. Take it back to my tuner (as Tephra also suggested)? See my answer in post #9.
I will end up having it pro tuned but right now I would like to learn the sw so in the future I can mod the tables for a specific change and maybe eventually do the tune myself, there certainly is a wealth of sample tables and knowledgable advice on these forums!
I am not completely new to tuning (or going kaboom haha) just electronic tuning, although I did modify a couple of maps on my X using Access Port and Access Tuner Race and on my Ford V8 using an AEM stand alone I barely got EcuFlash to work and I am struggling with getting EvoScan 2.8 to connect to my ECU just now!
I'm a bit old school (emphasis on old), if you need advice jetting a Webber carburetor or a setting up a vacuum advance distributer, I can help.
Thanx for the good advice, as you say "better safe than sorry"

Wow seems lean to me my evo 9 runs 12.0 afr on 91 with 50/50 water meth and boost at 26psi tapering to like 21 at redline but trust tefra he know tuning like the back of his hand. Thanks to him and other gurus ecuflash is where it is today. I am blessed to have a friend who is quite a skilled tuner and i send out awesome kudos to him esevo. Evan smith is our local guru.
Your right, I'm really a novice (clueless might be a better word

good to know that you're double checking things.just 2 more things and maybe i'm repeating it too much
& probably i'm too conservative but i always rather have a peace of mind when i go WOT.1.Boost is to High for 91 oct
- lower it and run 26-25psi peak and taper to 23psi or lower (better for stock internals)
2.AFR is TOO lean (those AFR's you're running currently is for WMI)
- during spool 12's
- peak tq onwards 11's tapering down
again just my 2 cents and humble suggestion. GL & Happy Tooning.
p/s : it'll be a good idea to post up some screen shots later on when u can.

My AFR is actually ~10.5-10.6 wfo 4k to 5.5k in 5th gear, the PLX gauge is hard to read as it jumps around alot and it only takes me a couple of seconds to exceed 110mph on the fwy and I must lift for traffic. It is becoming increasingly apparent I need to log AFR but the PLX device, I am told, does not interface with EvoScan; any suggestions on a replacement wideband?
I don’t know where I came up with the 12.2 AFR figure I previously quoted but I was way wrong, I could swear I saw low 12’s, maybe it was before last week and when I was running E85 on the stock turbo (pro tuned)? Whatever, I was thankfully wrong! It now looks as though I am running rich which is probably a good thing for the time being.
The quoted boost was correct at 27.8 spike tapering to ~25, it seems the 27.8psi spike is always the same using the PLX peak hold, even the stock turbo spiked at 27.8 tapering to ~17. I am not sure about the accuracy of the <2 counts of knock retard I quoted earlier; I logged a 4th gear a 5th gear pull last night (6sp SST), I will look at the log data later today.
Whenever I try to log I keep losing the link to the ecu at the most inopportune times and I must stop, restart EvoScan and re-link to my ecu. It might be caused by the the patch cable, I did kick the cable a couple of times and bent the little connector on the end a bit, very frustrating,

Log shows PSI spiking @ 29.5 and tapering to 25, knock retard <1 count.

Unless you are above 319 load, then leave the timer alone.
This is what I would do:
1) increase timer to 10000
2) do a 4th gear pull - make sure your boost is where you want it..
3) check the loads for each rpm in the boost limit table
4) get the load from the log - add 20pts and put that in the boost limit table
5) reset the timer to 1000
if your max load is above 319 - then you have no option but to increase the timer - and effectively disable the boost limit function...

I personally disable this, however in your case I would probably do what tephra recommends.... just keep that in mind for the future.
