Can we just disable readings from that sensor not to be reported as errors? It should clear the CEL.
Can anyone knowledge guy look into this? I will donate if solution is found for this error.

Am I right in understanding that exhaust cam actuator definitely fix the p0365? There could be a SW solution but its all assembly stuff and I guess only gurus can sort out this.

Just some more insight for everyone.

I am running a 4B11T motor in my car as well with the stock Lancer ECU, I am still getting p0365. My tuner and I discussed the issue, as I have a couple codes on my car as we speak. One issue might be due to how the ECU's are pinned. If I'm not mistaken, both ECUs are pinned differently, which obviously would cause communication issues with components. I'm going to try repinning my ecu one I find the electrical diagram for both harnesses.

Pinout is the same for both ECM modules. Crankshaft and Camshafts sensors are on the same pins in both ECMs. Probably the problem is the phases, cause this is different when comparing Lancer & Evo service manuals.

Are there info on phases in the SMs? . Please give me the page number.

Right, pinouts are the same for all 4B engines, they just have more or less functional pins - for BCS or 2nd IAT, etc.

Can somebody tell me the differences in the crank reluctor rings? I have a evo x with a built motor and I'm getting a p0365 code and no start. Because I bought a new motor, I am thinking that this motor might possibly have a 4b11na ring in it.

Apparently, the differences is orientation on the crankshaft. So, there must be code somewhere in the NA lancer that is still looking for the old cam phasing?

So if you run a x ecu and 4b11t you also get the p0365?

My problem is, that with the wrong ring (I think this is the issue), my car won't start at all. . . .

Nobody has tried running Evo X ECM on NA Lancer, maybe it will cure the issue.
We don't have such issue with starting. Are you sure you don't have any additional DTCs, cause P0365 only disables MIVEC. If the ring is different you should have more DTCs...

+1

I would also donate if Tephra changed ICS indicator (while changing alt maps) to something different, NA combo meters don't have it .

P0365 has gone by replacing the ECM with Evo X one.
P0098 has gone by wiring IAT2 sensor to the ECM.
