COBB OTS Issues.. Please Help
I have alot of Questions im getting alot of help from the guys here on the board and i appreciate it i have one little problem! first off
i had the stock filter and flashed stage 1 93 and got some good logs from it 1 and 2 knock but all and all it was awesome car feels ok but not like i think it should. so i went to the next level i bought the Cobb turbo inlet and SF intake flash the stage 1+ sf and ran several logs. then i added those to virtual dyno and im amazed how the car lost even more power it felt aweful i have had the CBE since 3 days after i purchased the car didnt know if that was causing my problems. my next step is doing the MAF calculation per Hollywoods write up with help of others members. thanks guys for any help you can lend!
on the dyno here
datalog3 stage 1+sf 93 cobb turbo inlet, Cobb SF intake, Greddy TIC CBE
datalog5 Stage 1 93 Stock , Greddy TIC CBE

I'm going to say the Virtual Dyno is a lot of your problem. IMO, get that thing to Cobb for a Protune though. Changing the MAF scalings can drastically affect your air-fuel ratio too so whatever changes you made could have caused the car to run rich.

virtual dyno is not your problem.. it does not affect the car in anyway. as long as both of his logs were done on the same area of road VD is effective at measuring even small losses or gains.
I disagree, I've seen far too large of variations when playing with it, but that's neither here nor there...we can save that for another thread.
well give u more history i bought the perrin filter and then the cobbs SP and flashed the stage 1+hkspf and it ran aweful over stock so after reading i decied to put the OEM filter in the car and flash stage 1 93 and thats whats been on the car since. i ran several logs and the VD pretty much stated the same on 10 - 15 runs in 5 back to back each time. so i took it as it was a good software to base things off of. anyway i decied to go with the cobbs turbo inlet and the sf intake. so i got those in and installed to car. flashed the stage 1+sf 93 last weekend and drove my car normal to work all week.. well today its been bugging me that it felt so aweful so i went back down the street to run some logs and then i came back and put them VD and VDr and i saw that it was down on power. i get fuel from the same truck stop and only there tank is at 3/4 full same as before. these logs are about a week apart
With the CBE and the Cobb intake, you are closer to the stage 2 than the stage 1 map. Try running the stage two map with the boost pills still installed in your car. However, ....
Since you live in Fort Worth, there is really no valid reason for NOT having your car tuned by Calvin at Cobb in Plano. He is an excellent tuner, and you will get the results you are looking for.

i may just do that flash stage 2 and see.. the valid reason i have not tuned it is because i have not yet gotten all my parts on my car. from my understanding Cobb charge the normal fee for every tune no matter. i have yet to confirm that but every i read this is the case. i think until i get all my parts a tune is out the question so does anyone have any idea? should i remove the parts and go back to stock filter and reflash stage1 93? any suggestions

Give Cobb a call and see what they think, they may have an idea for for you. This seems very odd. You could try running good gas (Shell is my favorite around here) since who knows what you're getting from a truck stop.
yea i was going to shell today but it got to cold out side so i figured wouldnt be a good day to run logs. i may un-marry the ap and leave parts on im searching now to see if that would be an issue. i know it will lean out but i look to see if anyone else has done this.
Unmarried the AP and left intake on car runs so much better i mean i know its because its leaned out but damn i want this with my OTS map! haa haa.. anyway wanted to Thank Everyone!
I hate it when you install new parts and something goes wrong! Usually when things like this happen, we need to take a look at the last thing we changed. If we installed an inlet and an intake and now the car runs poorly, it probably has to do with the parts itself or the installation. Can you confirm that you do not have a small leak in your vacuum lines or that the inlet and intake are installed properly? Did you try flashing the non-SF intake map and seeing how that affected the tune? I would try isolating the issue first. Since the SF and Non-SF tune are going to be similar and the one difference is installing parts, you might start looking down that avenue first. Keep in mind, I would like to isolate the issue. This will help us eliminate the map as the cause.

ok i will do that and start over maybe even zip tie the vacuum lines or clamp them... because now that u say that i did notice the boost controller line that goes in my inlet was a little loose to me. but the log seemed as if the boost level were exact. thanks for your responds.
when and where is that going on at more information please!! i took everything back off and reinstalled it i used Zipties on the BC vacuum line and today i plan on re-flashing the car. and see how it performs now.
