I currently own a 2008 EDM SST (ECU ID 53050009). When I tried logging the "Gear In Use" parameter in EvoScan v2.8, the value returns doesn't make sense.

Currently the address in EvoScan is 23808866 and Eval is x/22.6 which is probably incorrect.
Does anyone have the right address and/or formula?

 

The values are not "1/2/3/4/5/6" but instead ranges of values to represent each gear. I don't have the breakdown handy.. maybe someone who does can post it?

The easiest way may be to find exact for you. In 1st gear, log this value throughout your RPM band (from idle to rev limit, or lower if you'd like), then do this again for the next 5 gears. This should give you your "ranges" for the values in each gear.

 

I believe it's in RPM/MPH like the ECU uses for "gear in use"

Evo X GSR
* 1st gear = 175 rpm/mph
* 2nd gear = 119.3 rpm/mph
* 3rd gear = 88.4 rpm/mph
* 4th gear = 67 rpm/mph
* 5th gear = 46.5 rpm/mph

Evo X MR
* 1st gear = 194.3 rpm/mph
* 2nd gear = 125.9 rpm/mph
* 3rd gear = 93.2 rpm/mph
* 4th gear = 70.3 rpm/mph
* 5th gear = 53.6 rpm/mph
* 6th gear = 41.2 rpm/mph

160+ 1st
130-115 2nd
110-90 3rd
80-60 4th
40-50 5th
less than 40 = 6th
