one last thing, the accessport can some one elaborate more on this? cost 500 bucks? and you can pull a map off the web and upload it to your ECU? thanks in advance im new to the Evo sceen
I know you are a new member, but please put in a bit of effort to search and/or find information on your own.

The turbo on the evo is designed for mid-range... your Honda probably had a larger turbo on it (or the motor had a better VE at higher RPM and couldn't over-spin the turbo).

All of the basic product information on acessport can be found on their website, and presented in a much better fashion than anyone can describe in a forum.

We can't help with your idle problem without a better description, but this thread really isn't the place for any of these questions. I encourage you to possibly start a thread in evo general if you can't find the answers you are looking for on your own.

I need a little help from someone at fort riley. I just got an 03 evo VIII, and it seems to be overboosting, because I get alot of boost between 3000, and 4500, and then the BOV sputters and it just flattens out. I'm pretty sure it needs a tune, and the damn boost controller needs some tinkering, but to be completely honest, this is the first turbo'd engine I've run before, so this is a new animal to me. I'm willing to figure it out lol, just need some veteran help. thanks
